It makes your heart pound, your breathing quicken and your forehead sweat. But while stress has been made into a public health enemy, new research suggests that stress may only be bad for you if you believe that to be the case. Psychologist Kelly McGonigal urges us to see stress as a positive, and introduces us to an unsung mechanism for stress reduction: reaching out to others. The TED Talks channel features the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes (or less). ABOUT ME

ZGD_8081.jpg

Psychologist, Psychotherapist

BA, MSc

I am a certified psychotherapist with a specialization in positive psychotherapy and ecotherapy. Positive psychotherapy is a psychodynamic approach exploring in-depth the client's life circumstances and how they shaped the situation they currently find themselves in. The focus is on helping the client get clarity, understand their strengths, and find solutions. My integrative approach combines many therapeutic methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy and positive psychology, making it a comprehensive style of therapy for all.
